Hey peeps;
Book 3 now stands at sixty thousand words, up from 35k. Lots more to come but the story progresses!
Not much to report with Flight at the moment, but Song is going through a self-edit post-rewrites, slowly at the moment as it’s being fitted round Wrimo writing time, but creeping on. Quite excited about Song, actually.
Sprig of Holly is flying off the shelves! Over 450 downloads so far this month in the US alone! In celebration, I’m getting a new cover done, so watch this space for details of the reveal.
Lastly, a note from Dulcie Feenan, who tells me that readers considering taking a look at “Christmas comes to Oddleton” might like to know that it will be on sale at reduced price on Kindle around the weekend of 6th December.
Have a good evening, all!

Sprig of holly? Have I missed something?
Short story, slightly uncharacteristic fairytale-ish with a bit of a romance. Just goes to prove the point -romance has a very hungry following! I enjoyed writing it though.
Even mine have romance in… but that’s because I like it rather than because I’ve done anything pointy brained or intelligent like identifying a market.
Yeah, this was mostly accidental. But it’s starting to really move where free. Suspect that will end abruptly after Christmas but in a “bums on seats” kind of way, having a story on a reader’s Kindle makes the likelihood of them noticing it and actually reading it much greater than just when it’s loose on Amazon. My view is, it’s a probability game and that’s one way to shorten the odds.
Anyhow the romance in yours is deftly done. How’s it going with Ruth & the Pan of hamgee? Are they co-operating with the storyline?
Thanks!
Sort of, two others have gone and got it on, they’re at it like rabbits. I think I may finish it before Christmas. Or at least, enough of it to get it to Mike, anyway. I so want it off my case now and at the same time, I’m really excited that I’m getting close to the end.
Cheers
MTM
Heh, agree that! I have three all nearing the finish line, and the one I’m Wrimoing is the one furthest from being finished! Was hoping to get something out before Christmas, even if only an old & melancholy short, but all that on hold for the moment.
Way excited about new cover for Sprig, and also about Christmas Lites 3 though! Due to hear about both imminently so am like a cat on a hot tin roof!
Is your 3 the final one ? (What’s it called, btw?) You should have a launch party? Doesn’t sell much /anything you wouldn’t have anyhow, but tremendous fun!
I hear you about Christmas. I wanted to get something out too, I’ve manged to miss Christmas Lites and the UK Kindle forum, off the KuF one, and discovered the bunch I thought might weren’t doing one… so no pot boilers for me this year!
As for the book, I think it may be two, so the third one is called One Man: No Plan, K’Barthan Trilogy: Part 3 and if there’s a fourth it’ll be called The Candidate, K’Barthan Trilogy: Part 4.
It just depends if I can split it. As for a launch party, it would be great but I’m going to have to crowd source the second book so it’s unlikely….
